Brazil has confirmed its decision to withdraw the bid to host the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has conveyed that the government did not guarantee to offer financial support amid coronavirus pandemic. Brazil is now supporting the Colombia’s proposal, which is up against Japan and a joint bid from New Zealand and Australia to host the 32-team tournament. Fifa will be voting to select the hosts on 25 June. Currently, Brazil is facing huge number of coronavirus cases all over the country with more than 35,000 deaths.
