The Government has confirmed that it is in talks to resume the Premier League season as soon as possible in order to support all the Football community amid the Covid-19 pandemic. Culture secretary Oliver Dowden has confirmed that his department is discussing on restarting the professional sport and also regarding the lockdown restrictions.
The weekely discussions will noe take place between the government sports medical officials and Public Health England representatives. As per the reports Mark Gillett(Premier League’s medical adviser) and Charlotte Cowie(Football Association’s head of medicine) are involved in the discussions with the government. On the other hand, other European leagues are heading towards restart.
