Augsburg head coach Heiko Herrlich to miss the Bundesliga restart after breaking the quarantine rules as he left the team hotel to buy a toothpaste. Herrlich has confirmed in news on Thursday that he visited a groceries shop by breaking the quarantine rules. The teams prearing for the German league restart on this weekend were staying in quarantine.
Herrlich aged 48 is appointed as head coach on 10 March, the home match with Wolfsburg is the first match for him in charge.
Heiko Herrlich stated in a letter that “I made a mistake by leaving the hotel,”.
The club has stated that the players and staff are being regularly tested for Covid-19 and Herrlick will return to the training if he tests negative in two consecutive results.
