After after eight years in charge, Michael O’Neill has left his role as Northern Ireland manager permanently. Michael O’Neill will be leading Northern Ireland into Euros qualifier with Bosnia-Herzegovina. O’Neill took the responsibility of Northern Ireland manager in December 2011 and he helped his countryt to Euro 2016 finals in France.

Michael O’Neill has stated that “I feel it is only fair that now is the right time for me to step aside,”

O’Neill has thanked the Irish FA for their support throughout his tenure, and he also thanked chief executive Patrick Nelson and president David Martin.
