Phil Neville has confirmed his decision to leave his England women’s manager role in the next summer. Phil Neville was a former Manchester United player and Everton defender. Neville was appointed as the Women’s manager in January 2018, and the contract ends in the summer of 2021. Neville has help the Lionesses to win its first SheBelieves Cup title and also helped them in reaching semis in the 2019 World Cup. But the recent record of Lionesses is very poor, out of 11 games recently, they have lost 7 games and also Lionesses didn’t retain the SheBelieves Cup title in March.

Phil Neville has stated that “I think we need to take a step back now and start building the foundations again – getting back to the brilliant basics.”
