Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder has agreed for the paycut and bonus deferrals including chief executive Stephen Bettis to assist the club’s cashflow issues due to the coronavirus outbreak. Sheffield United conveyed that the money that is saved will br used to retain and pay other staff full wages. Besides Chris Wilder and Stephen Bettis, other senior coaches have also agreed for pay deferrals for the next six months. Southampton and West Ham have also confirmed that they will also follow the same earlier this month.
Chris Wilder stated that “It is a difficult time for everyone, That includes football clubs and this particular measure is all about our football club.”
